Expect the UncommonDr. John Standridge has divided his medical career between private practice and academic medicine. He is a clinical professor of family medicine and internal medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga and was the program director of a geriatric medicine residency. He was medical director of the Alexian Health Care Center from July, 1995, through February, 2014. He practiced family medicine during a long and distinguished career.
He now devotes his career and focus to the field of addiction medicine. He has practiced in the field of addiction medicine since 1979, and has served as medical director of the Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, Inc (CADAS) from July, 2000, until the present. He served as President of the Tennessee Society of Addiction Medicine (TNSAM) during the years 2013 and 2014.
Professor Standridge is extensively published in the medical literature. He is internationally recognized - with invitations to speak in Japan, Canada, China, and Ireland - as an expert in topics ranging from health maintenance/disease prevention to addiction topics and geriatric topics.
With regard to drug dependent individuals, we at Personal Medicine strive to treat each individual as special. Our office charges regular medical office visit fees.
